Channel Sales Director-Northern VA

Job Location: Northern VA (JO#1651)

PeopleCom’s client is leading provider of intelligent data capture, desktop and enterprise search and retrieval, and electronic document management solutions with a primary focus on Global 2000 Company sales.  They are seeking a Channel Sales Director to grow its partner programs in a fast-paced environment.

The Director of Channel Sales will oversee all World Wide Channel Sales activities.

This position requires the individual to be based out of the Northern VA office

Must be able to travel up to 40-60% of the time.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops partnerships with software application developers, hardware vendors and system integrators on a regional, national and global scale
  • Meets and exceeds set sales quotas for the channel sales team
  • Manages a team that is the main point of contact for existing partners.
  • Communicates effectively with partners on new products and service offerings.
  • Manages a complex, enterprise solution sale with the partners
  • Gives input and assists VP of World Wide Sales in the execution of the annual sales plans and budgets

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required – Masters or MBA preferred
  • Experienced executive level manager
  • 5-10 years sales experience
  • Successful achievement of 1M+ sales, consultative enterprise/solution or technical sales.
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers.
  • At least 3-5 years experience in selling complex solutions
  • Enterprise Software Sales experience
  • A conversational understanding of technologies

  • Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions.
