Specific Duties and Responsibilities
As a key contributor to the success of the business, the Federal Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing technical and professional services business in a short cycle
environment. An ability to generate immediate tasking through direct services and staff augmentation is a primary goal in this role.
The Federal Sales Executive will have a thorough understanding of our sales cycle in such a way that produces immediate and consistent return.
Key expectations include:
- Assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely sales forecasts
- Prospecting and opportunity development
- Creating and forging new partnerships for current and new programs
- Negotiating contracts, including confidentiality agreements and possible joint ventures
- Providing guidance to proposal team by communicating key stakeholder expectations
- Establishing relationships with key partners and vendors to provide better solutions to
potential customers - Orchestrating strategic planning, program targeting and maximize sales and revenue gains
- Developing joint marketing programs that define roles, maximize support and increase our market awareness
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales to the Federal Government
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the full business development lifecycle
- Proven individual sales performance of $5M+ per year
- Extensive and active contact list within the federal agency community
Skills Required
- An ability to differentiate the value of our services in a competitive environment
- An ability to craft business solutions for complex business problems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, ability to meet and exceed individual sales targets on a consistent basis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
- Experience working multiple strategic accounts
- Exceptional ability to represent the company favorably, develop new clients and negotiate with numerous members of other firms
